Re: Crash Report

Pavel got a chance to look at the crash dump before he left on vacation. He was able to see the cause of the crash, and made a few adjustments that should help (although he can't guarantee they fix the bug). I should be getting a new possible beta exe from him soon, that would be good for you to use ...

Re: Settings bug

Sorry to hear about your issue. I downloaded your game's last two saves and they both show the 5 morale help levels. I assume this is not a display issue, but actually how this game is operating. The question is did it change during the play of your game, or if it was set up this way (or changed ...

Re: Crash Report

Sorry to hear the game is crashing for you. Has this happened to you again, and if so, do you see any pattern re what you are doing when it happens?

I've put this on our bug list, but I don't think we're going to be able to look at the crash dump for at least two weeks as the programmer is leaving ...

Re: Report - retreat losses on winning side

Thanks for the report. While it appears that vehicles can be lost in ground combat (via air attack and retreat attrition) it sure does look strange to see them logged as retreat losses for a victorious attacking side. It would help if you had a repeatable save for this, but I expect it will be ...

Re: SU AA firing at GS

I will put this on the list to look at. I have a save for that attack you show. Flak was a part of the game that had a lot of work and rework by Gary, and, IIRC, also suffered from their being effectively 2 air combat sections, one for the ground combat and one from the air combat phase. Gary was ...

Re: Dive Bombers out of reach for A2A while diving.

Do you have a save for this we can use to verify any change? I can add this to the list to look at in the future, but having a save makes it much more likely any change will be effective. Hopefully there is a simple fix to prevent the gamey aspect of flying so high the a/c can't be intercepted, even ...

Re: Redeploying various AA units

Section 9.2 of the rules has a chart of costs. The chart references section 16.8 for some general info, but the chart says it all (basically moving from city to city costs 1 AP, except marine/naval, but taking AA out of cities can cost much more).

Transfer AA Battalion from City to High
Command HQ ...

Re: 'Night Intruder' ???

Not sure if it's still in WitE2, but IIRC you could launch a strike against an airbase including the night fighters and they would go and attacking night aircraft operating from there, but I could be remembering this incorrectly.

Re: GC43 - German Light Flak amounts

Issue 1) Marine flak Regiment using improper Luftwaffe OB
Issue 2) Those Flak Regiments look like having been built as 43b Flak Regiment but this was a motorized version deployed in the field. They have been updated to proper OB but were not rebuilt to this OB. The static home defense Regiments ...

Re: Changing PBEM passwords

There is no way to change a password once the game is started. Is the issue that the password has been forgotten? I'm not sure, but we might have a way to look at a save and determine the password. If this is the issue, and you have invested time in the game, you can contact me at 2by3@2by3games.com ...

Re: Quick Questions Thread

Weather changes at the start of the Soviet turn. On the September 11 German turn, you are actually experiencing the weather that changed during the Soviet Sept 4 turn. The September 11 view is the forecast for weather that will exist during the Soviet September 11 turn (and the German September 18 ...

We have another beta version out to our testers now. It mostly has continued improvement and fixes with the new editor, but also has a few game fixes as well that deal with long-standing issues. Likely it will go out around the end of July.

Matrix has a system that automatically checks for this. It's also something that Matrix can manually look up as well.

Re: Data of Renamed Unit in CSV

Sorry, I misunderstood. I thought you were talking about csv in the editor, but I think you are talking about the exporting of the CR screen data, correct? As you said, there is no ID number info in this file, and no rename info here. In-game, rename info is in the Reinforcement & Transfers screen ...

Re: Is it possible to mod in ships?

I have no idea. What "type" of unit is it? Since there is no type for ships, I would think it would follow rules for the unit type. CV should come from the ground elements in the unit.

Re: Is it possible to mod in ships?

I don't think you could do anything with the ship units. Gary considered using the database to add in ships into a game in Western Europe, but never got far on that project. The data is probably carried over from earlier games.
