Re: Changing PBEM passwords

There is no way to change a password once the game is started. Is the issue that the password has been forgotten? I'm not sure, but we might have a way to look at a save and determine the password. If this is the issue, and you have invested time in the game, you can contact me at 2by3@2by3games.com ...

Re: Quick Questions Thread

Weather changes at the start of the Soviet turn. On the September 11 German turn, you are actually experiencing the weather that changed during the Soviet Sept 4 turn. The September 11 view is the forecast for weather that will exist during the Soviet September 11 turn (and the German September 18 ...

Re: v1.04.19 Public Beta Now Available!

We have another beta version out to our testers now. It mostly has continued improvement and fixes with the new editor, but also has a few game fixes as well that deal with long-standing issues. Likely it will go out around the end of July.

Matrix has a system that automatically checks for this. It's also something that Matrix can manually look up as well.

Re: Data of Renamed Unit in CSV

Sorry, I misunderstood. I thought you were talking about csv in the editor, but I think you are talking about the exporting of the CR screen data, correct? As you said, there is no ID number info in this file, and no rename info here. In-game, rename info is in the Reinforcement & Transfers screen ...

Re: Is it possible to mod in ships?

I have no idea. What "type" of unit is it? Since there is no type for ships, I would think it would follow rules for the unit type. CV should come from the ground elements in the unit.

Re: Is it possible to mod in ships?

I don't think you could do anything with the ship units. Gary considered using the database to add in ships into a game in Western Europe, but never got far on that project. The data is probably carried over from earlier games.

Re: Data of Renamed Unit in CSV

Out of interest, would there be any value in having the unit ID in the file? - a unique Id rather than everything on name, that way my little program could keep details over multiple turns by ID rather than have to figure out via a separate file.

Also- If you create a corps from a soviet div (1 ...

Re: German AI Luftwaffe almost inactive in 1941 despite large operational force (possible AI issue?)

Looking at AI tests, I think this is 3 parts supply issue, 1 part unit placement issue. Human players can squeeze more out of the supply system than the AI. We understand that the Axis AI is not doing well with the air force. We made many attempts to improve it before and after release, but never ...

Re: Old Editor to be retained?

There is no plan to disable the old editor, however Pavel is not planning on making any changes to the old editor. He's only supporting the new editor going forward. The CSV file in the new editor is different from the CSV in the new editor.

Pavel has just recently added ground and airgroup renames ...

Re: Soviet Gun Regiment Does not Upgrade

You must be showing a screenshot from a game started with an earlier version. In the OB file I have (from 1.04.16), the 42a has been shifted to 48 support (noted in the whatsnew changes), and the 43a has only 32 support (couldn't find a whatsnew note about this, but it does appear to have been ...

Re: Disruption during attacks across river is still broken

Thanks for the report. Agreed that ideally directly attached support units should suffer disruption as if they were in the hex. As for support committed from HQs, arguably since these are out of the player control, and committed by the leader at some point during the attack based on leader ratings ...

Re: Duplicate 4/5th Rifle Division + More Corps than Allowed

Thanks for the saves. I see that the corps links were lost in the last save, but don't have any insights on what might have caused that. It doesn't duplicate for me either just running through the air phase. So maybe something you did in the air phase caused the issue, although that's going to be ...

Re: Duplicate 4/5th Rifle Division + More Corps than Allowed

You can form more corps starting in January 1942 (up to 41, IIRC). I can't explain why those other corps stopped being corps. Being over the limit should not matter, and in 42 they aren't over the limit anyway. Maybe something to do with the fact that the militia divisions got into the corps, and ...

Re: Mines against AFVs - Where are the Mines?

I got an answer to this question. Mines were a WitE1 rule that no longer exists in WitE2. Don't know about WitW, but likely this was removed during the rewrite of the combat code for WitE2. I'll add a note in the living manual section to clarify this in a future update.
