RE: odd problem with 8.4

I have experienced this several times in an 8.4 pbem game also.

RE: Need an opponent for 8.3 version

British vs. Germans sounds good to me if you're still looking for someone to play. [:)] I don't do C&C on, but other than that everything's negotiable.

RE: PBEM question - Trying to do the right thing.

<t> Hm...., didn't mean to make it sound like I always insist on fighting it out down to the last man no matter how hopeless the fight, just that it can also be enjoyable(and educational) to fight on the (apparently)losing side of a battle. When it becomes clear to me that I'm hopelessly beaten, the...

RE: PBEM question - Trying to do the right thing.

<t> As a frequent pbem player, I also have found myself occasionally wrestling with this question. Personally, I often find myself enjoying fighting a desperate defense or even a rearguard action covering a withdrawal and you only really see those when you're losing, lol. [:D] My natural tendency is...

RE: back after a year downtime, opponents wanted!

I already received both the files you emailed me yesterday, played the turn, and sent the new turn files to you twice(once yesterday and again once today). I'm not having any trouble receiving your emails, but mine don't seem to be making it into your inbox or something.

RE: back after a year downtime, opponents wanted!

[&:] I sent the turn yesterday. You seem to be having some sort of mail problem. Maybe your mailbox is too full to receive the turn. Will go ahead and re-send it.

RE: back after a year downtime, opponents wanted!

<t> Okay how about this?: max 10% of purchase points(initial and any reinforcements) can be used for ARTY(Mortars 81mm and above and all indirect-fire guns and rockets), No airstrikes(but airdrops allowed if you desire), max two platoons of specops/rangers/commandos/etc if you desire them, no prelai...

RE: back after a year downtime, opponents wanted!

<t> From the Artillery Management - T.O.T. thread in the Training Center forum: <br/> <br/> Delay time affects both reload timing and Offboard ammo consumption. I'll use the terms Primary, Secondary and Teriary to indicate the barrages coming at the end of My turn, the end of the opponents turn, and...

RE: back after a year downtime, opponents wanted!

<t> I would like to play a 7.1H2H game with you. [:D] I'm not very good with C&C though, so prefer it off. I also strongly prefer spotting set at the default setting of 65%(much more realistic and makes for a better game, IMHO). My less important preferences are for long games and large maps wit...

RE: Assault or Advance game H2Hfr 7.1 ?

<r> All right. All my H2H slots are empty. [:(] I'm willing to play any nation and with any settings(except prefer C&C off). Like I said, prefer lotsa points on a large varied map over lots of turns, but really it's fine with me if you prefer something smaller and shorter and to the point(I just...

RE: Assault or Advance game H2Hfr 7.1 ?

I would be very interested in a good H2Hfr game like you describe right now. I generally prefer battles a little on the large and long side, but then again I'm game for whatever you'ld like to set up. [:D]

<r>I'd be interested in playing a H2H pbem game with you, STIM(currently playing my first game with it, and it seems pretty good so far). Uh, a BAR fires the exact same round as an M1 Garand(.30 caliber, or often called the .30-06). It just fires them a lot faster(full auto).

<r>SPWAW is not just another of the many games out there that are supposedly about war but are really about just playing a fancier version of "Monopoly or Battleship or something"; It's a game that attempts to come somewhere close to simulating how a real-life battle works(while still being fun to p...

I also enjoy and very much prefer the longer battles when I'm playing(pbem). Does anyone have a larger map or two that they would recommend as especially good for this type of play?
