Changing HQ

<t>The LCUs change their HQ when activated at a base to the bases HQ. For example 2nd Guard Division is subordinate to 25th Army and moves to Rangoon, which is under control of 15th Army. When you activate 2nd Guard it will become member of 15th Army. <br/>

Merging Units

Place the units in the same place and sometimes they merge. But not always. If they stay seperated after a turn move one away and back, either by feet or ship and see if it works then. Seems to be a random event to me ;)

Metric - Yeah

I like the idea of converting everything to the metric system, when the Japanese used it historically. Makes things more clear to me.

Not so dumb questions

<t>About Seaplane Cruisers, AV: I use these to transport planes to far away location. Especially when the plane has a short range and would need several stop-over. Every stop means 10% damaged planes. Another task for them is in replenemishment task forces, to supplement a carriers squadrons. I've ...

<r>First let me admit that I haven't tested this approach, as I'm still using W98. Playing my Japanese campaign I sometimes really would love to be able to split some groups of APs or DDs. It's quite annoying to have 8 Africa Marus in port and 3 small LCUs and you have to bring two other transport ...

Invading India?

<t>Sorry, no idea how to fix your problems. But I'm quite astonished that you can successfully invade India with Japan. In the game I play vs the AI (3.1) I'm at Calcutta, but make no headway. My invasion of Ceylon has been rejected and I simply lack the PP to do any major action in India there ...

Keeping high oil reserve for Japan?

<t>I'm pretty new to Pacific War, downloaded it a couple weeks ago. So far I played the Japanese side and tried different openings in the matrixgame 1941 campaign. In my current game I'm in mid January and my oil reserve is down to 4000. The rate it is dwindling is alarming, as the preparation ...
