cant believe these things have been around so long. Found my grand fathers sub too...USS Segundo[:D]. By the way did you mean 1945 and not 1941?

I have been corrected. Was 1945 vice 1941. Good catch.

I served on board AS19 Proteus from 1990 to 1992. Hull was so thin that dry docking her was out of the question. Now she is a berthing barg for carrier refits in bremerton. AS19 served as flag ship to COMSUBPAC on september 2 1941 in Tokyo Bay.
