RE: Which "Drawing of the Sword" battle is of most interest to you?

I chose Williamsburg because it is the only one that I have not played multiple times on other games.....

RE: Will There Be?

I figure it would be a long time.....But my system could likely be adopted to about any tactical game.....Having said that....IF you put out an updated FOF done on regimental scale with plenty of maps, it might make my system obsolete....lol....feel free....

RE: Will There Be?

<t> I have quite a few maps for sure.....What I have done with Excel is to design a strtegic recruiting engine (Based on the 1860 census) that determines whether units are formed (Regimental Scale), the number of men in the unit, names the units, and assigns leaders to the units (Corp, Division and ...

RE: Will There Be?

I think I'm a rather advanced Excel user, so I doubt I'll have an issue there.....I've made a lot of tactical maps for another game out there thatmay be able to be used as a quide for making some maps if you ever do FOF2.....

RE: Will There Be?

Aslso, any chance that ya'll may eventually combine this tactical system, with actual maps to your strategic game and allow the entire war to be fought ......That would be a big game but it would be awesome.....

RE: Release date?

I am really hoping you people are correct....I am strictly a "War of Northern Aggression" wargamer and so have not owned any of Mr. Grigsby's products.....I have high hopes for this one.....OK, I'll ask....any update on possibly when we might tentatively expect this game to hit the market?

RE: Release date?

You said you are improving game play and balance......Will there be a historical type scenario.....after all it was not a "balanced" war....Regards, Hank

RE: Any Questions?

<t> Definatly turn based.....I believe based on the World At War Engine.....I don't own that game, as virtually all of my titles are War of Northern Aggression games......So I suspect you know more about it now than I do, assumimng you have played WAW.......Reading the AAR threads should help you ...

RE: Any Questions?

<t> Joe, <br/>
I am not trying to be rude....I will suggest that you make your question more specific.......Worded as is, it is virtually impossible to answer, as there are many games out there....it will compare to each one differently.....and differently on specific features......Regards, Hank</t>

RE: GREAT GAME RUINED

<t> On a historical basis, I think I can say with confidence that had the South managed to fight on through the year of 1865, the war would have continued. Given the strategic situation in 1865, the North would never have given up, and nobody was even remotely close to recognizing the South.....Now ...

<t> I do have a suggestion, Kenon Whitehead has been a participant in&nbsp;a Campaign game a couple of us have hosted on the AWCGC site off and on the last few years.....He is, in my opinion the best player of them all....when he argues a point, he is usually pretty durn persuasive....I am not sure ...

RE: GREAT GAME RUINED

<t> You could give the player the option to overide the victory, and continue playing each turn if you wish....1848 does this.....I kept playing till I wiped each and every enemy unit off the map....I admit, it really was over for all practical purposes, when the game said it was over, but I still ...

<t> Just wanted to say as a member of the ACWGC, and as a new owner of FoF that the guys over there are a VERY tough crowd, eeeerrrr some might say nit picky....I have not yet had time to evaluate your game yet to see what I really think of it, but I bought it in order to support you since the game ...
