RE: Books about the War in the Pacific?

<t> I can recommend "Empires in Balance" and "The Barrier and the Javelin" by H.P. Willmott. These books covers the war in the first months and are excellent from a strategical and political point of view and describes also the battles in a very analytical style. There is also a 3rd volume but i hav...

RE: disband issue - do I lose the pilots and planes?

<t> Interesting is also that some formations are withdrawn by the game but used in the USA only as training squadrons and came later back. The 19th BG followed this part. At the start of the war it was in PHI, later transfered to Australia at the end of 1942 and then withdrawn in USA and served as t...

<r> @mdiehl<br/> <br/> The early Zero bonus existed in WITP from 12/41 - 4/42 and was reduced every month. In 5/42 the bonus was gone. So your arguments based on the battle of the Coral Sea and Gudalcanal do not add anything. From what i had read in various sources it seems that the allied pilot doe...

RE: Enemy carriers near SRA!

Germany had no air assets to attack invasion fleet, and their local sea-force were just some PT boats.

BTW Germany had only 2 planes in the landing area. That was the complete Air Force.

RE: Enemy carriers near SRA!

<t> Some squadrons come later with Hellcats so that they can fill the gap. But i still think that there are not enough.
