RE: April 1942

Atomu,
That is a good idea. Since, at the present point within the campaign, Maya is under 50 for flotation--she can probably sail for Kwajalein for finishing repairs. If only Zuiho was there... Good thinking!

My question is, why don't they stay independant? They remain carrier trained but shift their HQ. Can one change them back to independant?

ARs in Non-Disbandable Ports

<t> Hello All.<br/>
<br/>
I have an issue that needs help from the forum. I have a badly damaged CVL docked in a Sz-1 Port. It will soon become Sz-2 but for the moment, it is Sz-1. The CVL is slowly sinking. I have done all the normal moves, it is docked, has a high-quality Captain, a Naval HQ ...

<t> I agree with El Cid. When I am playing in the first year, I divide the KB into 3 TF. Two heavy CVs by Division (Hiryu/Soryu, Akagi/Kaga, Sho/Zui) with 1-2 CVL and then Junyo/Hiyp when they are finished. Each TF carries a little over 200 planes. That should be enough versus any two American CV in ...

RE: Ruminating about the Zero bonus...

This debate went is going on in the CHS thread on removing the Zero bonus. My vote is to:
1. Keep the bonus.
2. Move the Oscar to the A3 slot so it gets the bonus as well.
3. Lower experience cross-the-board.

RE: Bettys

I agree with that; however, I like to run my production a little higher at nearly 80 a month. If I get WAY ahead, I just pause production.

Definately upgrade to Jill/Judy! They are far better planes.

I like those CL. They are nice ships and a heck of a lot newer then those old CL (like Nagara). Believe they have radar too but am not sure on that...

<t> It just seems to me that the main problem deals with TOO many 4E bombers in the first place. Matrix would need to:<br/>
1. Slow down the replacement rate for the planes<br/>
2. Change PDU so 2E cannot go to 4E<br/>
3. Increase the maintenance (down time) for a 4E plane<br/>

<t> Would it aid all of us to come up with an actual set of House Rules for 4E bombers and the proper use of them?<br/>

What would be a good production mix of these? In both of my PBEM, I have streamlined down to Jake, Alf, and Glen. My current production is 15, 10, and 10 each month.

RE: A Question for WitP Japanese Experts

<t> Great notes ont he last two posts! In my first PBEM with Moses, I expanded TOO rapidly and got into deep trouble with production. Things basically froze for about 3 months. As the Japanese, you CANNOT let that happen! In my second PBEM with Wolfpack, I have expanded my industry much more ...

RE: 4E bombers, greatest bug of all

Going with 48/64 option might be acceptable. It sure would help keep a dose of realism within the game. For fleet actions, I should have SOME fear of 2E bombers but LITTLE to fear from 4E.

RE: Attention RO-class haters

I agree about his Turkey being out toooo long. Rather creative though...

Largest ship my Ros have hit in either of my PBEMs has been a CA. HELL--I am happy when they simply hit anything! Far better then during the real war (with a few notable exceptions)!
