Tutorial One - Insufficient Transport for Scouts?

Guys,
I am playing the first tutorial and have noticed that my cavalry scout infanty units are not loading into the M3A1 Bradleys. For example 1/ACR Trp consists of two M3A1's and two Cav Scout infantry units.In the Staff log tab of the Unit Dashboard it shows "Insufficent Transport" in yellow text.
I looked at the Subunit Inspector for the Cav Scouts and in the Transport tab it says "Organic lift needed: 2 points".
Looking at the same tab for the Bradleys it shows"Organic carrying capacity: 1 point".
It seems to me like this is teh problem, the Bradleys don't have enough room to cayy the Scouts.his must have changed since the origianl release though as the tutorial document doesn't mention this. I'm not really sure what to do. I can skip through the execution parts of the tutorials (I can still learn SOP's, setting movement orders, etc), or just have the Scouts walk into place and and learn from the excellent tutorial descriptions as to what they would have done. I am wondering though if this will also be a problem in other non-tutorial scenarios where there are Scouts and M3A1's.

This is a bug in 2.1.4 as we are working on a new feature, and broke some code with the organic transport model. We are fixing the scenarios and will have them updated in the next 2.1.4 beta update.

Thanks for the quick reply and I'm glad you managed to find the cause. I look forward to seeing the fix but I'm enjoying the Tutorials anyway so am not letting the tardiness of my cav scouts spoil my fun!

Hi, I'm setting up my defence for Lessons of War as the Germans. I am getting the staff warning for insufficient transport for the infantry, but not the scouts. I've verified the integrity of my files on Steam and beta participation is selected in properties.

Looking at Tutorials 1-3, 2 M3A1s are not able to transport 2 Cavalry Scouts , while for Lesson of War, 3 Marders are insufficient for 3 PzGren and 3 PzGren(ATGM).

I fixed the tutorials for this, but was unaware that we have other scenarios broken by the code issue. The new files will be out with the next 2.1.4 update. I have alerted the team of the issue, and we will need to review both the code and the scenarios to fix this problem.

Thank you for the incredibly prompt reply, I do appreciate that.
I have been playing the tutorials yesterday and today as well as PBEM++ when I noticed the issue.

Off topic but could the 2.1.4 update be responsible for the number of columns in the "Reported Kills and Claims" report going from 18 down to 14? In particular the mech and Inf columns have been folded into just the inf column.

Yes, and Rob has split inf and mech back apart. I believe the reduction in columns stems from the fact that we are adding some other units as well, so it was getting even more unwieldly wide.

Aloha all - just installed the latest beta update - 2.1.4.8214 (Thanks!) however - still have the transport issue due to differing organic lift capabilities.

We fixed that. I'll review the scenarios again tomorrow and see what is up. Maybe the wrong files got uploaded for the Tuts. Thanks for posting. Let us know if you see any other issues like that.

I have installed the latest beta (v2.1.4.8215) and am seeing the same problem with the US scouts in Tutorial 1 & 2 not having sufficient transport. Consequently, the poor guys are having to hoof it to the objectives and get their long after the $#@! Ruskies have captured the objectives. See below for a screenshot from Tutorial #2:

As I am returning to the game after a long hiatus, it took me a while to figure out why my troops were going so slow. I've not yet checked scouts in other scenarios to see if it's a broader problem or specific to the two Tutorials. Hoping this can be resolved quickly as I am eager to pick the game back up.

I fixed this weeks ago. I will check with the team and see if we somehow failed to update the scenario files. Is this a fresh start of the scenario? What are the dates on the scenario Tutorial files in the scenario folder? Sorry for the delay in the fix.

The Tutorial files are dated 4/18/24 on my computer. See Screenshot below. I failed to mention that this is a Steam installation. I've not installed the matrix version on my PC but can do so if needed for testing.

I forgot to answer your other question regarding whether this was happening in new games or from game saves originally started prior to the beta patch. In all cases this problem occurs with brand new games.

For kicks and giggles, I installed a clean version of the game using Matrix's installers (i.e not through Steam) and updated to the latest Beta available on Matrix's site. After doing so and starting a new Tutorial 2 game, I see the same problem with the scout platoons having insufficient transport to carry the attached squads. Thought it could be that the Steam update had bad files but doesn't appear to be the case.

I lost internet yesterday, but the team tells me the updated files for a few scenarios with this problem, did not make the last update for both services. It should be fixed in the next update.
