Is there and option to use NATO symbology on units instead of the pictographs?

For the Steam version if you look here
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Valor and Victory\assets\counters
There is a number of folders like "afvs" or "units".
These contain pictures ,for example infantry pictures in "units.png".
You could modify these with a paint program ,like Gimp ,that is free.
Then you could replace the existing pics with your own Nato Pics.
It is a bit of work ,but is possible.
Its an idea.
The game does not offer a vanilla option to swap to Nato.
It would be a bit more troublesome with AFVs snce they have a facing ,but for Infantry should not be really hard at all.

Unfortunately no NATO symbols is a deal breaker for me.

Maybe buy the game at Steam Sale time.
The base game itself ,and combined with existing available mods is fun and has a fair amount of content.
The Global war mod in particular enables scenario creation of many different Country Armies.
Scenario creation is quite user friendly.
Also a random battle generator is also available.
For the ASL type approach this game has lots of merits.
Even the unit statistics can be changed by text editing an xml file.
You could make some Nato Counters.

I need to revisit this ,the counters are not as crisp as I would like.
I have emulated the old Panzer Lader Board game ,where infantry are nato and other units are silhouettes.
