Are the company headquarters (the units with the radio on the unit card) considered headquarters for the purposes of command efficiency? Or are only battalion headquarters used for command efficiency?

Yes, yes they are!

The 1st platoon is the company headquarters and is part of the combat efficiency process.

Great thanks!

I just realized that the Leaders, when they share a tile with the Company HQ, dramatically increases its command range! Seems important to keep leaders with the HQs.

As a follow up, I do not understand the isolated unit rules. A unit is isolated if they cannot trace a path to a parent HQ. Does this mean that every possible path needs to be occupied by an enemy force? Is isolation determined at the platoon level (e.g. from platoon to company HQ), at the company level (e.g. from company to battalion HQ) or both?

Yes, they make a big difference!

It's always a tough decision how best to use the leaders... combat or supply.

It usually references units that are surrounded, either completely or mostly. If they cannot trace a supply path back to a parent HQ, they will remain in "conserving ammo" status
