Are you using a super high resolution on your desktop and the game menu's and buttons appear small?

Are you using a high resolution and you can't read the unit list?


You can click on the short cut and adjust the settings to remedy that issue.

I tried using the settings you suggested. It didn't help. I'm running Windows 11, Nvidia RTX 3060, 3840x2160 Resolution. Any help you can offer is appreciated.

If you click on the above and then also click on the "Open Advanced scaling settings", it will open another window where you can adjust the Custom scale.

Setting a value 125 or 150 or something (or higher if needed) might help you.

I just re-installed Vietnam Campaign from my old slow OS Laptop to my new fast OS Laptop. Vietnam Campaign worked fantastically on my old Laptop, but not my new one after I installed to the new Laptop. Subsequently, I followed up Jason Petho's solution to the letter, with regards the startup 'compatibility suggestions. Nothing worked, and reducing the 'windows font size made matters worse, so I reset these back to the 'recommended setting. My actual fix was to adopt all of Jason's suggestions via his compatibility pasted image but changed the drop-down menu 'System (Enhanced)' to 'System'. This not only fixed the readability of the start-up menus, it also fixed the issue with regards the pre-game 'media' start up. THANK YOU, JASON!

I want to get a new monitor will the game run nicely at 1440p or 4 K native resolution if I follow the fixes?

I believe so, yes.

With the 1.30 UPDATE, the Unit List will be increased and the fonts will be bolder, so it will be easier to read a bit.
