Soviet Storm Documentaries

Soviet Storm Documentaries, in English, on YouTube.
Good production using actual footage, reenactors and 3D graphics.

There are more than just these 4.

I remember watching them a few years back and I can't say I liked them.

1) I'm German, and the German Voice acting is as horrible as could be humanly possible - not really too bad for non-German-speakers, but it puts me off, naturally
2) There is an emphasis on effects over information. Flashy Graphics, acted scenes with lots of explosions and gunfire, but only those weird read-out texts for actual sources.
3) It's a production by a Russian State Company. So there is a huge caveat there, obviously. Not as bad as with this shitshow of a Stalingrad movie from 2013(?), but there is quite a focus on Russian heroics and a clear, pre-defined narrative to emphasise patriotic struggle over factual reporting.

I think this is the True-Crime-Podcast among WWII documentaries, if you get what I'm saying.

Thank you for listening to my TEDtalk.
