RE: Quick Questions Thread
The player can manually assign Construction Battalions to Cities to eg speed up the repair of railyards. For some cities (Minsk turn 1), the city detail window does not show the "Assign" button, for other cities the button is there(Riga). Why?

If you want to make a division then there should be at least 1 MP in each of the regiments. If you want to build a fortification zone - then there is a limit for a maximum of 3 units in a hex (except of city forts)

RE: Quick Questions Thread
Quick question:
Is there a way to prevent the AI from airdropping supplies to its units?
Air superiority (set to to be run in both phases) does not seem to be doing anything and the AI is happily dropping 500+ tonnes of supplies on its encircled units every turn. Quite annoying.
Thanks,

The button only appears on the turn after you captured the city.
But on the turn that you capture the city, you can click on the number in the "DAM" column of the city hex. That will give that city a priority for the construction units.
It is no absolute guarantee that a construction unit comes, but usually one does.

Some others questions:
- do regiments have some kind of ZOC? they didn't in Wite1
- what are the best videos to learn air war an depot rules. I tried 2 of them but they were too specific

Interception is broken. Don't waste your planes on air superiority, ground attack and air supply are not intercepted at all. No matter what you do.ORIGINAL: SchDerGrosse

"Do regiments have some kind of ZOC? they didn't in Wite1. What are the best videos to learn air war and depot rules? I tried 2 of them but they were too specific."
~Units smaller than a division have no ZOC. Some are multi role and can be attached to Division/Corps combat units to make them uber powerful.
~ I have found the quick start Strategy Gaming Dojo useful but not perfect.

"All combat units, unless they are routed or depleted, have a Combat Value (CV) and exert a Zone of Control (ZOC) into their six adjacent hexes."
Jango32 is correct. I appreciate him correcting my mistake. A regiment will only convert an enemy controlled hex to a friendly control that they move through or into. That means an adjacent hex may remain enemy controlled.

Thanks,
(Do the devs know about it and are just ignoring it? the game must have had a dozen patches since its release..)
RE: Quick Questions Thread
There were different priorities that had to be addressed before looking at the air war specifics. It's probably going to be the next major item on their list.

Don't feel bad about it, it's one of the most repeated misunderstandings about this game [:)]ORIGINAL: GibsonPete

I've seen LP'ers deliberately avoid splitting their divisions to secure a pocket because they were concerned their ZOCs would disappear. Heck, even the Fuhrer Begleit btn has a ZOC if it's deployed on the map as a unit, as long as it's not routed or depleted.
But it could be clearer in the manual. I'd bold it in 24pt and color it red. [:D]
