Unable to save on Steam Client

Playing a multiplayer game and I've been unable to save the game. I've playing through the steam client and I'm getting the error below, followed by an error about being unable to connect to the steam server.

I've experienced this in the past and just resorted to closing the game.

We're going to see if we can duplicate the issue when using Steam. This is the standard message you get when you are disconnected from the internet and/or the MP server is down, and you try to save an MP game. Normally, as long as you leave your game running, once you're reconnected, you can save again later. We are not aware of their being something different with how Steam handles the situation of a disconnect. We'll let you know if we can duplicate the issue on our end. Worst case, you will need to reload and replay the turn. If you have connectivity issues, it is advisable to save periodically during a long turn.

Hey there Joel, I've experienced this issue again in another game, and was able to capture to "error" message as it flashed up, I can only assume this is an error with Steam? Please see attached pictures.

Unfortunately Pavel could not recreate the issue in his tests. We've been asked for the following info from the tech guys at Matrix/Slitherine to help them diagnose the problem:

1) the IP addresses of affected player(s) and (approximate) time an issue happened.
2) the error message from Steam (ideally a screenshot, but I understand it flashes quickly on the screen so that may not be possible). I'm not talking about the window that asks the Yes/No question about wanting to retry saving as that is our game created message. We want to find out what is coming up from Steam.
