Odd graphical glitches around enemy hexes

Post by mhgasa »

Hej,

I just wanted to know if attached "screenshot 1" is considered a graphical bug or not??? Screenshot 2 (same computer/setup) looks much better. There is no difference between hardware/setup etx.

Could be, although it might be caused by some option turned on. I don't remember if there's something that turns off the outlines around the hexes (which is what looks like the difference between the two screens). Can you get the difference to show up repeatedly, and if so, can you narrow down what causes it or what makes it revert to screenshot 2 (which I think is the norm)?

Molotov : This we did not deserve.

Foch : This is not peace. This is a 20 year armistice.

HEj 56ajax,

Thanks alot for the suggestion, but unfortunately it still does not fix the problem.

Below is my do-it-yourself fix which has yet to fail me.

1. Load the game (in window mode)
2. Push "Pick Scenario"
3. Select " Introductory Scenario 1 - Velikie Lukie"
4. Prompted for save select "X"
5. Once ingame zoom all the way in, and then all the way out (mousewheel or +/-)
6. Exit the scenario (shift+q)
7. You can now play any scenario/editor etc. without ever encountering the "glowing" hexes

Browsing around the "after action reports" section, it is pretty clear that i am not the only person seeing this problem.

I followed your instructions and always get the hex sides highlighted when I have view enemy controlled hexes showing. Turning the hexsides on/off doesn't change this on my computer.

Hej Nikel,

Just tested it in WITE1 and got the same result as you did. See screenshot 4
