Events Questions

I've been going through the Events to try to get an understanding of what's going on and have been confused by some events being ACTIVE or INACTIVE.

In the Finland Holds Strong event it is active with a date of 1941-07-07 (see photo below):

Yet in the Finland Waivers it is INACTIVE with a data of 1941-07-07 (see photo below):

I'm confused because it looks like the one where the Soviet offensive against Finland events would be moved forward is inactive while the one where they are pushed back is active.

I also have a question about Finland Surrenders (see photo below):

Why is the date set to 1945-10-01? That is both way past when they historically surrendered plus it is past the end date of the game itself. Does that mean this event will never happen? The event 0009-SU Retakes Occupied Territory also has a date of 1945-10-01.

Thanks

finland waivers belongs to a different event chain, that's for the 1944 soviet offensive.

What about the Finland Surrenders having a date in 1945 after the end date of the game?

And if Finland Waivers belongs to a different event chain why is it listed under the 0008-Soviet Northern Offensive which also happens to be INACTIVE. Does this mean that in the NF theater box the Soviets don't do anything until 1944?

Maybe I should work on figuring out these event chains before I ask more questions but the 1945 date question I would like answered please.

Hmm, these event chains are a bit confusing that need some investigation.
It seems there's the wrong set of front movement events active for the Finns, those for their offensive are inactive while those for soviet offensive are active.
Date for finnish surrender event is set once soviet offensive starts.

Sorry if I sounded accusatory. Like you said the chains are confusing and I'm trying to figure them out and they are baffling me at times.
