T24, start of winter. The game has been back and forth so far with a really high axis casualties, but he came back with a huge kiev esk encirclement of 600k, which brought my casualties to over 3 million. Now, its december and a few counter attacks has happened.

Lenningrad has fallen, but we have taken revenge by retaking kursk, and soon the dniper! (hopefully) but yeah insane losses, low oob, insane plays!

That's closer to historical losses for both sides than a lot of the lower casualty AAR games I've seen. Maybe insane play by both sides is the best way to simulate history.

I very much agree, I do fully feel that insane plays by both sides is the best way to play, overall it makes it more enjoyable also!

T25, so far this has been mostly quiet as it just turned December, and im still building cp and toe, though it seems the SS has came to slap my offensive in kursk.

T30, January 11. Strong german holding positions near moscow continuously hold, and in the north past lenningrad they seem to be fully reffited and have a lot of combat power. Though my offensives in the south seem fairly successful so far, maybe even retaking two cities soon!

T34 Feb 8, This is a huge turn as not only have the german tanks came back onto the map so its a ticking timer where he will strike, we have just retaken kursk-orel and dnepro/zaporo. The main issue with this as these were very successful, there is a huge bulge around kharkov in the middle of the two that I have failed to take so far. If he bursts his tanks through there other than towards moscow i worry for a huge encirclement like earlier between kiev-kursk. Additionally with winter ending I was not able to make any ground near moscow as his cv and supply were too good around there, and he focused there with far too many men, triple stacks of high cv infantry and mech. As of right now I see a tula-kalinin offensive with a try at encircling moscow, though I hope this IS the case as the latter I foresee a lot of dead soviet men.

T48, one of the bloodiest games ive had in this. There was a 150k encirclement that he got in an early summer offensive during april, 1 turn before the mud, though during so I broke it a few times and blunted his tanks. We also have taken an operation to retake the crimea with sevastapool being the last hold there, and trying to clear an additional port near there so supply the south.

This is behind the actual turn date, but the situation is rather interesting. Its two dead armies ramming into eachother after two years of fighting, with no more than a single turn of rest, as we both have constantly done offensives on the opposite side of the map while both of us are eating shit in the places we are getting attacked. The current situation is my offensive into romania, and his into moscow.
