TacView Advanced............. 62€ yeah, great. This damn "all-is-gold"-niche price-mentality.

Well, finally ships would be able to negotiate restricted waters without being trapped, also no more objectives underwater even if placed on "land" :-)
Realistic comms between subsurface and surface units.
Terrain will influence movement, spotting, protection.
If all of this is true... C:MO will certainly be worth the bucks.
If you add a completely rewritten program to start new upgrades witout messing up other functions, it is really a reboot not a simple upgrade.
I greatly prefer to buy such a new game (with a discount [;)] ) than little upgrades now and then.
As far as I can see the Devs are doying all the best to migrate contents from CMANO to C:MO.
It will be a new golden age!
There is only thing I really hate... those : between C and MO

Is this based on actual inside information from the developers? In that case, it answers the question.

So what is this? Is it an upgrade to CMANO? Or an entirely different game?

If the latter, why did the CMANO team decide to go that route over upgrading the current game? What does it mean for the future of CMANO - is support coming to an end? Will CMO be backwards comparable with the hundreds of existing CMANO scenarios?

I know this reply won't answer his questions, but to those who are familiar with the Arma series, his questions are akin to the questions asked when Arma III was announced (with the Arma II users wondering what will happen to Arma II). And thus you already know the answers to his questions (if you're an Arma player).

Very good news. I am excited. And its great that any old scenario can be played in the new version too.

Any hint towards an ETA would be appreciated.

I'm in. I'll buy it when released. Just curious, will CMO handle ground combat or logistics differently than CMANO?

Yes. We'll probably need to do a dedicated article on this because the changes are significant.

If you mean the AMP no, but there is an improved version of the existing one, with great emphasis on showing "just enough" options as relevant (e.g. don;t show settings for ships if the selected mission has only aircraft assigned). The aim is to avoid flooding the player with too many options and settings.

Very Excited for this!!!!!! Will there be new tutorials for this, like tutorial for using the new chain of wars additions, (ie aircraft damage etc.) Since there are very few scenarios using this additions in CMANO.

Really looking forward to this! A small request, will we be able to have several Database entries open at the same time? I.e either to compare platforms or to check out the details of a sensor or weapon?
