I am getting an error message when I try manual weapon allocation. "Can not fire command guided weapon against aged target"

I have looked in 9.2.8 "My weapon won't fire" but it does not seem to be covered there

What does this error message mean and is there anything I can do about it !!!!

Your targeting data is stale, and the contact is likely no longer there. You will need to reestablish contact to generate a firing solution. The data in the right-hand column should indicate when the target was last seen and what sensor/unit saw it.
