Can I edit the hunter bonus points that a naval unit gives when defending a convoy route?

And can this icon be changed by editing an image file?

I dont believe so.

Are both possible changes unfeasible?

You can't change the icon. I added the extra slot in case I came up with an idea but it never materialized.

I say this because if I edit the Escort Carriers to make them light cruisers, for example, I would have to remove the two hunter points and set it to zero.

Perhaps change them from Light Cruisers to Destroyer Escorts if the bonus can't be removed.

Just be sure their cost is higher due the added bonus.

I don't know anyone that builds naval in WPE...other than German submarines...BUT a Destroyer Escort...well UK / US might actually produce them.
