I can select night move and do a night move.

The end result is fine. The naval stack has the night move icon. And the interface has reverted to day for the next move.

Now willing to perform another night move, I am again pressing the night move action button.

And I have an error popup displaying clearly why this is impossible. Perfect.

But now, taking any naval stack at sea at the start of the
Pacific 1941 scenario, and pressing the night move action button.

The error popup does not appear and the fleet move in day mode. The error popup must be activated in any case.

Still applicable Beta 5.1. I think this bug also explains the port blockade problem. There is an initialization problem.

It is working correctly. It will always revert back to day time after a move. That button is so you can choose out of port. The flag on the counter is what tells you if it is on night mission.

No, this is not working correctly. In one situation, you have the popup triggered. In the other one, there is no popup whereas there must be one.

Then I don't understand what you mean.
If I am in port and I choose night time... it goes night.
If I choose day it goes day.
BB are lessor range
CA/DD are greater range
CVs can't go night time.

On turn one, if I am taking a fleet in port, for a night move, there is no error popup. I am moving this fleet using 1 OP.
Then, I try to select this fleet again to do a night move -> popup with error message: must be in port, blabla
On turn one, if I am taking a fleet already at sea, and select it for a night move -> no popup with the error message saying I must be in port.

You can't do a night move once out of port.
I am thinking about the next patch to change the rules for night move. Just allowing it period with different penalties. I have to think about all the exploits for it.

A night action was indeed planned while fleets were already at sea. Maybe a good idea if this is not adding exploits.
