Stuff from the General

Not checked the game or read in the game manual but wonder if any of the items from The General are included?

For example from The General volume 25 number 4:

Viva La Revolution: An Official Addition to Empire in Arms (pages 32-35)

Errata for Empires in Arms - Insert on page 33.

Just curious.

AFAIK, the errata was incorporated into EIA and EIH and implemented in this game. If something isn't and hasn't already been raised as a bug in Mantis these many years, players are welcome to report an issue and I'll take a look.

The 1792 Campaign is not included. I've been hard-pressed enough to work through the 1805, 1812, and 1813 campaigns with both Classic EIA and Alternate EIH setups. Trying to implement the 1792 campaign is not on my To-Do list. There are still too many shortcomings with the game editor to do this without significant code changes and database file changes. It would be a can of worms that I don't want to open.

The grand strategy articles from The General are included in the game manual, so new players have those plus the original Player Notes to review to learn what to do in the game. I've used all that to define grand strategy options for the AI which are now implemented in v1.26.02 Beta that I am still playtesting for a Hotfix and working out some kinks. I hope to release that Hotfix soon so players can enjoy the game more.

Bill,

Thanks that's good to know and thanks for the details of what is implemented.

Doing a mini travel back in time the last few weeks of going through all the old Generals. I am in vol. 26 now and I started tracking things for an index for volumes 21 onwards (the two AH index guides only go to Volunn 20).
