Armored Brigade is receiving its first update, bringing the game to version 1.002.

1.002 Changelog


- Fix: Missing Polish Mi-2 winter sprites.
- Fix: Missing moving desert sprite for 8th men for Saracen Mech squad and Infantry squad.
- Fix: Transparency on winter turret for GDR T-72 and on desert hull sprite for MTLB.
- [ui] Implemented the 'battle positions and target reference points on/off' option.
- [ui] Implemented the 'window edge map scroll on/off' option.
- [database] Adjusted the T-64 reverse speeds.
- [maps] Removed trees from streams and roads in forest.
- [scenarios] Adjusted the 'Rear Guard', 'Midnight Surprise' and 'Who Will Stop the Rain' scenarios.
- [gameguide] Updated the gameguide content.

The only way I could update was through the start up menu.

I just used the update button on the Matrix game start screen a nd the update appears to have worked fine.

There seems to be a missing text file on the update/installer pop-up window but the install went fine. Or at least I think it did. Where can we check what version we are running? Nothing in the main screen or options window...

The whatsnew.pdf didn't open for me either, but I think in my case it had something to do with Adobe Reader. I heard that at least for one person it was opened successfully. It can be found in the game folder.

The game version number is in the game splash screen top-left corner.

The splash screen shows the correct updated version. The whats new PDF did open for me, so good there too.

Edit: Sorry, I meant to say the "Patch Notes" PDF did launch for me. (on the Matrix launcher).

In fact, I get the same as zacklaws reported in post 1 above. The above for FTP 2, and what he posted for the first link. So something's broke...

i've just done it on 2 pc's and it worked both times, and was very fast as it's a small file / update, so maybe something locally or issue elsewhere, but it's working and been tested fine i'm sorry to say, all i can offer is try another browser or keep trying at different times etc, or use the members area links and not the ingame auto updater etc

regarding the ftp sites, they don't always work straight away and give them a bit more time, and then they do, seems to be how it works for some reason, but in game auto updater does atm, and has been tested 2 times in the last 10 mins.

but will report it either way, and see if other links can be provided etc

True, the in-game updtaer works fine. BUT, the updater - for some reason - doesn't give you an install choice - it is fixed to install in the matrix default, which is not where I have my copy installed. So can't use that, without moving my install.....

Use the in-game updater. It works fine. But make sure you first move your install to C\program Files (x86)\Matrix Games\ Armored Brigade If it's not already there.

I had no issues with the in-game updater, it found my folder where I have it installed with no issues.

Why, is this not the in-game updater?

In-game updater does not work. I get the same error with varangy, Unable to download file, error occurred trying to open FTP

If you have a running AV program, you may need to make an exception for the new updater in the game's main folder.

Already tried that before posting.

I usually have to turn my AV off to get the Updater and my system able to read from the FTP site.

Unable to download from MEMBERS DOWNLOADS. In game updater does not work. I'm stuck!
