All Manassas scenarios crash on start

Playing with the 1.06 patch, Windows 10. All the other scenarios work fine, but the Manassas scenario crashes the game as soon as I load it - playing as Union or Confederate, any difficulty level.

did you have the issue before?
as for me it's a new one, so unless some how that mission has become corrupted etc, will test it now on my windows 10 pc and see if anything pops up, if not i'll see if my version compares to yours size wise and if not i'll send you the mission if found to be faulty etc

all Manassas scenario's tested working in windows 10, which was the version of windows i did the beta on, so, choices are either uninstall and make sure the folder is wiped clean / empty or add in the missing or faulty files?

or download and copy paste and over write with mine, which are the same version as your missing ones (hopefully)?
i can send by pm if you send me your email by pm here, as even compressed there too big to upload here i've just tried[:(]
if they don't work you may have a faulty install, a clean install for me always helps

Thanks for your reply
I have tried a fresh install but still getting crashes for all Manassas scenarios - other battles work fine. The scenario files look OK - they are exactly 9.05MB the same as yours.

ok, lets try something else,
check and see if it makes it work better or the same, mines on by default in all games in windows 10 btw, as i always do it as soon as it's installed, run as admin and install as admin, sets permissions auto for me then for AV / Firewall etc etc

if that doesn't work, then use the compatibility settings, but for me they have never been needed with the game on windows 10 as yet
if neither of these work, then something else is making it not compatible with your pc - O/S but what it is, is anyone's guess as all the others work, only the biggest ones doesn't which sounds like a performance issue, so if none does if you don't mind let me have a look at your report
How to get a DxDiag report file:
1. Click on "START" (on Windows 8 press “Windows key” and the “R” key at the same time)
2. Click "run" (skip this step on Windows 8 )
3. Type in "dxdiag" and click "OK"
4. Check through the tabs and perform all tests
5. Click "Save all Information..." and save the text file to a location of your choice
We prefer that DxDiag files be posted as message attachments (zip) rather than pasted into the body of the post.
add the exe of the game to your Anti Virus and firewall program, to make sure check the
logs of these to see if it was one if any of them was to blame.
That usually means a 3rd party program, like an Internet security programs, is or could be interfering with the game or update installation.
run the game from a admin account and use full admin permissions.
please make sure all game pre requisite are installed with the game, even if you think or fully know there are already installed, it will only over write, and it may be that you have a older or newer version of these where as the game in question may need a certain version.
please make sure you are running the latest game version and have up to date drivers installed on your pc,

Late to the party as usual... same issue here.
Just started looking at this again for the first time in years. Open any Manassass scenario and game goes to scenario description, but no map background... then the game CTD's with no error message.
W'msburg, and the western battles all run fine, appears that all scenario files are present. Uninstalled, reinstalled, upgraded to 1.06. Also had this happen prior to upgrading (in 1.00)
