The second public release version of my Campaign Series Middle East Unit Picture mod. (CSME UPM”) is now available for download. Via the link below.

It provides pictures for game units that will show up in the image boxes (that by default have their nationalities, national map and flag in) in the games “Unit Handbook” and its “Unit Viewer”. This second release version provides complete picture sets for both Israel and Syria.

And here are the US hand held and crew served weapons that I have made up so far for use by Israeli and Syrian forces, all of which will of course be available to use for the equivalent mod I plan to do for the CSVN game when that for CSME is finished. I have already been making advance purchases of the relevant Ospreys etc. to support this process.

where can I find the first version

You can find it on page 2 of Making & naming "Unit Handbook" graphics files & adding them to the "pictures folder" a few entries down its the same as version 2 except it just contains the Syrians. However this thread does have more images showcasing the work.

Just had a week’s annual leave during which I have made progress with phase 3 of this mod which adds images for the Egyptian Army to the unit handbook and unit viewer. So far I have 140 unit picture files made which as I have been working through the unit viewer lists systematically from top to bottom are mainly of armoured vehicles.

Some examples are shown below. Firstly as seen when opening the unit handbook a Egyptian Vickers Mark VI Light Tank used in the 1948 War.

Next (also as seen in the unit handbook) an Egyptian Sherman tank, up gunned by replacing its original turret with that of the French AMX13 light tank mounting a 75mm high velocity gun with 12 round auto loader.

Still, in the unit handbook an Egyptian T55 tank.

Followed by an Egyptian ISU152 Assault Gun in its 1973 livery, surely one of the last active outings for the “animal killer”.

Switching over now to “unit viewer” views, first off here is a BTR-50PK tracked APC.

And to keep it company in adventures across the Suez Canal an PT76B amphibious tank.

Forward in time now to the influx of US equipment into the Egyptian armies inventory after the Camp David accords, an M109 155mm SPG.

Now for my last image post this time, an home grown Egyptian Walid Gomaa Mohamed wheeled APC. If you open up “unit viewer” in of your copy of CSME everything unit you can see down as far as the 4 sets of this item now has its own picture file in my mod.
