game version mismatch

Post by SgtShultz2 »

I tried to play a multiplayer game using the Normandy mod. Host 10108. Client 1010a. Both players must be using the same version. I'm the host. What should we do to fix this? I bought a disc. My partner dowloaded the game. We updated version and were playing the game a few years ago. Now the game does not work.

Hi SgtSchulz2 -- if you go to the Matrix store page (link below) you can download the latest update. You may also want to use the 'My Page' link in top-bar menu of the Matrix website to register your serial number and be able to re-download the game and get updates through that portal as well.

I got the new version installed. We will try it soon. Thanks for your help. Glad to see work was still being done on this game in 2021. We looked around and there is still nothing as good as this for a tactical real time game.
Suggestions:

Make the release notes printable. I don't know how to access those. I recall reading about how to direct connect with an opponent online without using the lobby.

I collected a number of short cuts from other versions of CC that still work, but they are mostly not in the boot camp which I just did again, with the exception just a few of them. These could also be in the release notes which have a number of other shortcuts.

v- fire
c - sneak
z - move
x - move fast
n- defend
m - ambush
b - smoke

There are some other short cuts also.

Glad that it's working now. You can access the release notes by hitting F1 in-game, or via the file on disk is 'whatsnew.pdf' in the game install folder.
