Coming back to this game after a long time, and it's running pretty well.

I forgot if one can edit the vanilla and even the Nomada_Firefox modded scenarios?

If so, what would the file management look like?

You can edit any scenario and save it as a new custom scenario. If you want to edit stock battles / operations / campaigns and have it influence the base game you'd basically need to make your own mod. If you want to edit battles / ops / campaigns in an existing mod like Nomada_Firefox's then you can edit the mod files directly.
