New .exe

I see there is an updated .exe and installer for CCMT posted in the DL section. So this is the Steam adapted .exe I guess. Is there anything changed or any patching done at the same time?

So how can mods be installed now that there is no CCMTSyscon/Modswap included in the new installer?
/D switch does not seem to work.

The new version of Modern Tactics has received the same update for Windows 10 compatibility as the other older titles (CoI, WaR, TLD, LSA) and a few bug fixes. I will post a change list as soon as possible.

The /D switch should work in MT now as well. Possibly the launcher isn't passing the options through to the game. I will look into that.

Awesome that you managed to fix some bugs in addition to the W10/Steam "conversion".

I tried the /D switch on the standalone, non-Steam version.

The new download is 278MB smaller (v200712121 945MB - v2020.6.25.1 667MB), what was removed from the new download?

Videos, Modswap + something else?

Most of that is due to better compression. The only files not in the new installer are the Matrix logo splash video, some product catalog PDFs, CCMTSysCon related files, and launcher-related files.

SchnelleMeyer -- can you post a link to where I can download the mod you're using? Thanks!

Is there a patch? Or just a new installer?

Steve - You could try any mod, but there is one here that swaps in ovms with contour lines: https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=4845727

There is crashes to desktop when quitting the battle with esc. Also crash to desktop without error message when AI acceepted my truce offer. This last one was on the Steam version, but I am sure its the same in the standalone.
This used to be the most stable Close Combat... Fix it please!

I can't reproduce either of these crashes so far. Please let me know the settings you are using for these game options:

- Screen resolution
- Framed Window
- Use DPI
- Scale Front End
- Scale UI

I have none of the options selected, Resolution at 1920 x 1080

But I dont get the above reported crashes anymore either now on the standalone version - but Steam edition is crashing.
Maybe it was related to not restarting the PC after installing?

I've fixed the crash exiting battle under Steam. We'll get the update onto Steam as soon as possible. Thanks for your help tracking this down.

Hello Steve,

I was thinking about buying this CC version, but is this update with the fix in the making and will it be out soon?

Thank you in advance.

Hi WilliSaenger -- the Modern Tactics update is in the queue for production to evaluate and upload to Steam. Due to the number of product releases, and many people working from home, there is a backlog and it may still take some time. I don't have a specific date when it will be avaiable, sorry.
