Your Hey Diddle Diddle, Straight Up the Middle attack cost you more than it should have. From the deployment of the American AT guns, I surmise that you were playing the AI, as it is the rare, inept human player that would place them so far forward and in the open. Knowing that the AI, even the improved AI is a sucker for defending the high value center VL, a probing attack in the center and agressive flanking on both the left and right would have (in hind sight, or video replay, of course) sussed out the enemy's dispositon sooner and brought more fires to bear on his main defensive force.

You led with leader units and MG crews that got wasted when you still had infantry teams that could have died just as gloriously in the center of the ville. The firepower of those MG's were sorely missed in the American infantry counterattack to the center VL.

I assume you were wary of an American armor thrust towards your northern deploy area VL, but why did you sandbag that other Jad38? Used in pairs, they are far more effective. Your AT team could have babysat your VL against any armor threat. Don't play the AI the way the AI plays you. Push his flanks, blunt his center, enflade his reinforcement approaches with MGs and then defeat his defenses and counter-attacks in detail.

That woodline on the west side offered an approach to the east-west road that you didn't exploit until late in the battle. Infantry pressure from there that exposed the west exit VL would have drawn out his disposition sooner and force the enemy to shift counterattacking forces to that side, lessening the force mix he had available for holding or strenghtening the center. And where was your scouting attempt at finding/forcing a left hook?

Yes, you took the ville, Haig, but the AI made you pay a third of your force for it. A Patton or Guderian attack would have cleaned the AI's clock at a lesser cost.

Nice vid, btw! :)

that was really sweet!

i just dont understand two things:

1) where did u get the jagdpanzer from (as in the operation scenario there is no such thing, just 2x stugs)

2) and how come that no allied mortar was pounding you constantly from some hidden corner?
