This will be the German view of the war. I hope to post regular updates and what I'm planning for the turns ahead.
So, please do not post info you see here in Blind Snipers thread and vise-versa.
Blind Sniper... no peeking beyond here.[8D]

Some close ups of the action:
Here is Panzer Group Kleist plowing through the Ardennes. Armour and motorized units are not stopping for anything. Let the infantry deal with bypassed troops.

One important thing about Holland is that as the Germans you can force the goverenment of Holland to capitulate before you have captured all the VP's.
Their national morale is very fragile. So use the "Terror Bombing" card to cause a 10 point drop in their morale. Then each captured VP drops it another 1. Causing lots of casualties will also lower their morale.

Here you can see I've managed to drop it to 44%. When it reaches 40% there is a 20% chance the Dutch will surrender. For every point below that you add another 20%! So at 39% morale there's a 40% chance of surrender.

The faster you can get them to surrender the faster those troops can be used against Belgium and then France. So I always push hard in Holland to try and get them out of the game as fast as possible. May 14th is my personal record so far.

May 13th sees Panzer Group Kleist washing up against a stiff French resistance across the Meuse River. I'll have to make some bridge heads fast or my advance will stall. So I start prepping the way by using arty and air strikes to destroy the fortifications on the far side of the river. To maintain a historical pace I need to have PGK across the Meuse by May 16th... not much time.... and the French are better prepared this time.....

Tilburg is taken on May 13th.... but Eindhoven still holds out. This shows that what a single regiment sized unit in an urban envirnment can stand up to.!

And the Dutch front on May 13th. I've landed 7th Paras to capture advance bridges and happen to get a VP as well.

Dutch morale at the start of this turn was 42. With the loss of this VP and Tilburg they will be close to collapse.

This game looks good. I'm mostly an AI player, so the 30 minute AI turns might be a killer for me!

May 14th and some of PGK has crossed the river! Heavy air attack to take out the fortifcations then heavy arty bombardment to soften things up then we're across. I'll try to make more crossings fromt eh bottom of the screen to the top.. only so much air power to go around.
Also note that an element of 10th Panzer Div almost got to overrun some French air on the ground but ran out of steam!!!!
