In the center our offensive is bending the Germans back upon themselves. Their hated motorized divsions are stuck and can't move and we've been able to push forward.

And Comrades, our glorious factories, the breeding grounds of our revolution have started to produce weapons that we can use to destroy the Hitlerites. Here, for example, is the new artillery support we can assign to a chosen breakthrough division [gives a +40% to combat power for one turn].

We also have armored brigades we can assign to support a division that already has armor and our Soviet air force has recovered enough that we can set up an air defense zone to reduce the effect of fascist air support.

In the north, Comrades, the mercenaries grind forward, lured ever onward by the shimmering sight of Leningrad on the horizon, but we have fresh reinforcements arriving and the Germans have still not reached the fortified line. Leningrad will hold Comardes, Leningrad shall hold.

In the meantime, Comrades, I'm happy to report that our spies have noted that German supply columns are just not getting through near Stalingrad. Many of their divisions are starving and without replacements. We shall strike hard blows while the mud blankets our holy Rodina in its protective embrace.

In the center, our new artillery and tank brigades are ready to strike! I know that I promised this four days ago, but the traitors in charge of the supported divisions had mealy mouthed excuses about "lack of AP points" and "heavy mud." Trust me Comrades, those generals are now digging coal in the arctic with their bare hands. I think we've made our point.

In the North Comrades, we may have to give up Narva on a temporary basis to readjust our line. This is not a retreat comrades, oh no, this is in line with the clever strategy of Lenin who withdrew at Brest Litovsk just to regain all we gave up and more. This way we can shorten our lines and defend Leningrad! Let us hope that this does not tempt the Finns to seek additional booty.

Now, I must ponder.

Stow it Nicky, I have a problem. You guys really screwed up with the big roll out for our armor and artillery units. I wound up with egg on my face! It makes me wonder if you're plotting to make me look bad.

No No Comrade Stalin, you got it all wrong. It was Timoshenko, he messed up. He's one of those fancy new school snobs thinks he knows everything and has never worked like a peasant in our mud season. Why just the other day he messed up bad when trying to calculate artillery ammunition. Really, he always messes up.

In the north things are still looking iffy. We have the advantage of terrain but the Germans keep pressing forward and I want to hold the Finns out as long as possible to I'm going to hold onto Narva at least one more turn.

In the center, the Germans are getting weaker! You can see that there are at least two weak spots in their line and I have a fresh army on the way. The main question is do I divert reinforcements to the south. As I understand the Victory conditions killing a number of Germans does not win it, I need to hold the three key towns and Moscow (my key town). So I may divert reinforcements down south.

In the South the Germans have three mech divisions stuck in the mud and oos near Stalingrad. They may regret the autumnal rains. There is also some infantry further up the Don that may regret being on the wrong side of that river.

Comrades, the three german motorized divisions near Stalingrad are in our sites. My generals assure me that we have then at a tremendous disadvantage because we're attacking them from all over and they are out of supply! Let us await the results of the battle!
