Is there a way to have the same starting system from previous saved universes?

Hi guys, I've been puttering around making a replica of Sol as my home system, thinking that by saving the galaxy map, when I loaded that galaxy map in a different game, it would put me back in Sol. Instead, I found out it puts me somewhere random.

I've googled around but I haven't found anything helpful, I know the forums seem kind of dead here but if anyone knows how to keep / save starting systems I would very much appreciate the knowledge

The only way I know how is to save the game as soon it loads, then use that save as a basis for another game. Start a new game, and in the upper right there's an option to load a galaxy. Use the one from your saved game and tick all the boxes to redo everything like resources and wonders etc.

I'm surprised nobody else has replied to you about this as it's quite a simple answer.

Ignore everything I said in my last post. You keep the same galaxy, but but don't start in the same system.

How on earth can you edit your perfect system and then save it for reuse?
