So far we are winning that battle.

We have caught the West Germans flat footed around Helmern by pushing our tanks up from the south of the town.

The West Germans respond with a Multiple Rocket Launcher (MRL) strike!

We were really lucky and suffered no losses in that strike.

While the West Germans are striking back in the south we hit the WG column east of Helgarn and they take more losses.

The fighting is not all going our way. We lose tanks south of Helmern.

Then we got lucky and caught one of their HQ's on the move! [:D]

We move into Atteln and take those VP's.

As our recon forces move around Atteln they continue to find more WG units.

When we get the opportunity we can even kill some of those.

The WG's are losing far more tanks than we are. The only concern is they are M48's and not Leo's.

Finally our forces move into Helmern.

Near Helmern we catch another HQ.

The WG's are taking continuous losses with their truck mounted forces.

The same unit gets hit immediately again.

Notice the different strength values on the truck between the two combats. The previous screen shot shows the truck having 11 equipment in the unit. This one shows it's dropped to 7.
