“Battlefield Conditions” Notifications

Is there a way to disable these during turn resolution? They can get to be very annoying after a while: I want to watch the turn play out, not be forced to respond to a pop-up with information I can do nothing about during the actual turn. Once the turn is over I can take weather into account with current and future orders, knowing full well it is just going to change 3-4 times during the next turn anyway.

It's always a struggle to know how much information to pop up. Some want a lot and others want none. We will have to look at what we can do for the new game engine to tune those outputs. Weather will be better with the scenario scripted weather. That will reduce the randomness seen now. Plus, we get to add in forcast information to aid in planning.

Just to keep this on the radar: if it is too late to implement with the current game engine, then with the new game please make the pop-up messages that pause the game (even those with a countdown counter) an optional selection. If not, move them down onto the status bar as a new tab which flashes these “high priority” alerts.
As someone who plays the game a lot, I can tell you that for me these messages completely break the immersion of the gameplay. As I am writing this response, I am running the Back to Town scenario and have been interrupted over 15 times to respond to a pause message in the game (in a single game cycle).
To say these are extremely distracting is an understatement.
While I realize I am not speaking for everyone and there may those who actually enjoy this “feature”, I request the
option to completely disable the pausing of the game so each player can have it their way.

I'll see what we can do.
