Why is movement cut down when Division is split up?

Post by Novaliz »

I have a case where my division can travel further than the individual Brigades when broken down? Why is it? The movepoints are still the same. Division has 16 and each individual Brigade 16 too? Any help? The X is the farthest destination!

its because the movement cost of a Division moving through enemy territory is less than that for Regiments.

Brigades and regiments have MP penalties when moving through enemy territory as per last item on the Tactical Movement Points chart (14.1.5 in the Updated Manual v2_5_5):

Brigade/Regimental and Divisional Breakdown units
entering enemy hex and when moving ZOC to ZOC

-Motorized = +2 in addition to the normal costs
-Non Motorized = +2 in addition to the normal costs
