Turn 1 Zhukov Attacks

The results were a little better with 116 bombing this time.

Level bombers are always most effective at disruption rather than kills when going after ground troops. I prefer to use them in ground support role in advance of attack.

Yes, that's what I saw. I think someone did this in a BrianG AAR here and he punished this. That unit should be on hex to the west because if the unit is not where it is now, you can't move a unit there, and you can't attack an empty hex.

That you can attack a hex and gain control of it for fewer MP than it costs to move to an empty hex leads to some counter-intuitive situations.

There were more than one airbase attack. This is all the airbase attacks I did before going to bed last night. But even if you set the range to 1 (which I hope you know how to do that in the new system since 1 does not equal 1 on the range of the aircraft) you were flying escort missions with the bombers. So unless you have your mission settings correct they more than likely would not have flown, or fewer than normal. Plus your bases are probably running low on ammo with all the missions you flew.

By the way your Cav unit is fine. He is still there in the hex with the Airbases.

I see. I thought the losses was the result of only one ground attack and one air raid. Still, the result remains as bad (or good). The air group range thing was not set on purpose. Just a way to filter out unnecessary airgroups from selection which I think many do as well. I dropped the ball there by not checking it after finishing all the AF bombings.

That attack on the southern tip of the Lvov pocket is a master move. Again I didn't expect it and left no support units in the HQ (in comparison there were a lot of artillery in the HQ for the cavalry). Not that it would make any difference looking at the final CV odds. On the other hand, I probably couldn't have placed a stronger unit there without endangering even more the pocket. So guess I'll have to live with that.

Did the previous attack on the tank regiment to free the south pocked worked ? The results are shadowed for unknown reason.

It is an artistic effect to built dramatic tension maybe ? [8|]

I was especially surprised it looks like a hasty attack.
