Strange Airdrop Results......

Gary Grigsby’s War in the West 1943-45 is the most ambitious and detailed computer wargame on the Western Front of World War II ever made. Starting with the Summer 1943 invasions of Sicily and Italy and proceeding through the invasions of France and the drive into Germany, War in the West brings you all the Allied campaigns in Western Europe and the capability to re-fight the Western Front according to your plan.

Strange Airdrop Results......

Post by HansBolter »

So I dropped the British paras at Arnhem, on top of a German HQ that had displaced there from the hex the Polish Brigade dropped on.

The combat results were 1.1:1 and stated that the defenders held.
However, the Para division was not destroyed and occupied the hex....along with the German HQ that did not displace.
Since there is an airfield present I sent in the Air Portable division to bolster the hex.
The air transport treated the German HQ as if it was not present.

So now I have two British Units STACKED with a German HQ........

How is this possible?

Love it.

Thankfully, the HQ was gone from the hex on the following turn.
