In an effort to catch the leaders in points I am going to be doing AARs on the rest of my Tournament Games.
I am the Allies in this game vs Haudrauf1962 who is playing a crafty Axis.

Fairly normal start to the game.
He took France in Spring 40.
But he did hit Yugo a bit early and thus Romainia did not join Axis before Barbarosa.

The Allies have sucsessfullly blockaded the Central Med and captured Tobruk/Sicily. Not a single axis resource has been collected from Africa or Sardina.

Summer 1941 Japan has pushed inland in China (I love when my opponents try this very expensive adventure)
Fall 1941 Germany has carried out agressive attacks with large panzer formations against a pretty well prepared SU.
The good thing about the timing is now it is First Winter and that will slow the German advance a good ways from Moscow.

Russia is not all that afraid, we are fairly strong in force ratio and teck (infantry just got 7 attack for winter turn)
Red air force has stolen a lot of teck from Japan and fighters are on par with German fighters.
The one thing we lack is supply (only about 45 currently) but US hits 2x production this turn which may fuel Russias desire to fight!

Also on the Barbarosa opening turn the Germans released about 5 3/3 subs into the south atlantic destroying a few transports which might just be what sparked the US to double its wartime production. [:D]
A few subs were damaged includeing one vet, but none were destroyed which I would much prefer.

And here is the situation at the start of the great war.

Note the HBs in Central Med.
The next screen shot shows my computers desire to always roll 1 on bombard evasion roll

Scenes like this could give me High Blood Pressure LOL. [:@]
Plenty of coursing, the cat runs and hides
It hurts so much to lose elite HBs

The OKW decides to organize a big winter manoever in Eastern Poland, while the Luftwaffe get a special training elsewhere. Probably our Russian friends are a bit disappointed that they are not invited to the after manoever party ;-)

The fighter and the factory in Sinkiang have been destroyed successfully. Japan slowly but surely increases its available Resources and supplies.

The picture shows the situation during our impressive manoevers in Eastern Poland.

Winter42

The Russians are a scratching there head "where did all the Germans go?"
"I thought there was a war on?"

With nothing else to do I put them to work dissasembling the factorys in Bellorussia, loading them on a train and shipping them off to a undisclosed destination.

All German U-boats have been removed from the Oceans of the Free World and shipping can go back to normal.
Its only a mater of time before the Germans put more to sea, but our ASW just keeps getting better. With the US at x2 production supply is no issue in the war on U-boats.

Jap Carriers were spotted doing manuevers in the central Pacific, that cant be good. Somebody should notify the boys at Pearl.[8|]

Down in the Sunny Med the Allies practiced there para dropping on a undefended Albania.
It was reported that the Albanians welcomed the Brits with open arms and are hoping the Germans never return.

Here is the situation at the end of First Russian Winter movement phase.
A screenshot after capture of Albania would probably be more interesting but I forgot to get one.

Just want to post the result of trying to watch the playback.
Of the half a dozen times the game has crashed since I have owned it,
It has always crashed when trying to view combat dice rolls.
Sometimes durring play, and sometimes durring playback.
Sometimes I avoid viewing them because I hate to have to play a turn over again especially in a tournament.
I can not reproduce the crashes.
I will watch this again after a reboot and it will most likely run fine.

For the record this was the very beginning of my turn no moves have been made yet.

Like I posted above after a reboot everything worked fine.

Summer 42

The map did change a little bit.
If you look close enough there is a little green Nub just North of W Germany.
Operation D Day via Denmark!
Should hold until Winter after that all bets are off!

The bottom of the screen shot shows the very poor performance of Russian HB crews.
Only possible to roll 1 less than they achieved.
There has been an order strait from the top to improve on this very important part of the Red Air Force.

13 Panzers sitting in Karkov, will be interesting to see where they strike next.

Fall 1942

The Germans seemed to have pulled back from Southern Russia.
Most likely realizing the huge mistake it was to take on a 2 front war.

We have found the secret to training Red Air Force Bomber Crews.
We offer them booze and sleezy women for the completion of successfull missions.[8D]
Top of the screenshot shows how successfull the new program is working.
We may push it through the rest of the branches as standard operation procedure [:D]

It was decided to vacate Denmark and move on to other oppressed peoples of the world.
The allies have really got there sh!t together when it comes to the art of amphibious landings.

Yes! Paris has been liberated just in time for Christmas 42.
The French ladies are very eager to show there apreciation with lots of holiday cheer.

We assume this will cause a major shuffling of the Axis ground forces from other theaters.

Question:
So, are you saying that the number in green (In this case both 1) is a die roll result?

I just spent literly hours doing my winter 43 turn only to get this near the end of my WA turn.
VERY VERY agrivateing! [:@]

This only happens when cheking the details of combat results. (either during play or playback)
I thought maybe it might be a sound thing so I have been always waiting till the after the combat sounds play before opening the detail window but apparently that did not solve the issue.

Does anyone else have the same issue??

I think that Dahnyul ment about your 2 HB-s, bouth pull up 1 in dice roll, and been shot down by the flak..
Yes, Dahnyul in that case 1 is a dice roll result (bad for Mr.Q, and good result for H.[:D])

Allies Spring 43

Well the Germans seem to not want to play anymore in Russian and have packed up driving/marching to Poland for warm spring breezes. Russians venture back to there burned homes and villiages 'someone will pay' with blood!!' is the general consenses around the campfires.

Another successfull amphibious landing by the allies this season.
The southern boot of Italy is pounded from the air and the sea.
The brave Allied soliders and paras venture ashore to light resistance from local milita only.
The Italian government declares they have had enough and surrender to the Allies.
The pieces are falling into place.

What's going on in the Pacific Theater?

What's going on in the Pacific Theater?

My opponents only real mistake of the game in my oppinion was having Japan start a war with China and Russia and the USA. They simply are not strong enough to hold off all 3. I believe they peaked at 18pps and are now down to about 6 or 7.

A turn or two after the US entered the war was the end of all Jap expansion.
The Chineese have been on the warpath recapturing most of the mainland.
The Rusians are in Manchuria.
WA controls FIC and sorounding area.

Jap is down to one HF.
They still have 5 carriers and CAGs.
4 or 5 HBs.
4 or 5 fighters.

There days are numbered to less than one year.

Winter 44

The Jaws of 2 strong and determined countrys continue to close on the Axis, pushing them back into the hole from which they crawled out of 4 years ago.
