Ok. It has been a while since I have attempted an AAR, so forgive me if my posts are somewhat visually bland (I am still working out how to use paint with screen shots etc).

Good luck to all participants. Lets have some fun!

-------------------

Germany's opener is typical, although she experienced no losses. Her wolf pack surprises and destroys a Canadian transport in the Mid Atlantic. Denmark is violated and, of course, Poland is invaded.

Russia and China - Summer 1939:

Stalin watches the Wehrmacht's Blitzkrieg and orders his Generals to study this new kind of warfare. Meanwhile the Chinese flee inland to defend their key cities. The world is no peaceful place anymore...

It must be assumed that Sandeman is MIA so the WA will be commanded by xianing. Turn is with Ning.

WA finally got their first turn. Eastern France was fortified. French fighter and TB made a suicide attack into Germany and the loss was acceptable this time.
The turn was redone under 1.02 and sent to Lucky1.

I think the turn was done in 1.03.... Needs to be redone in 1.02. Or, I have no problem playing 1.03 (but the political events etc. are not compatible).

Oops, my mistake - I forgot to mention this little detail to you, Ning. You will have to replay the other turn as well I assume.

Thanks for the help of Lucky1, now I have recovered to 1.02. And Allies launched the 3rd attack ! Finally similar loss for both side, it was reported as a victory by French journalists, as their planes were older and cheaper.

Goering sacks Messerschmidt (sp?) R&D chief, responsible for the flawed design responsible for the lacklustre showing over the Rhine. Upgrades are promptly made. The Wehrmacht consolidates in a defensive line against the massed French aggressors in the West. A wolfpack heads to Southern Atlantic (torn between the desire to visit Rio or Pretoria....).

Fall 1939, A very peaceful time in Europe. But it won't last longer, as Britains will go home for Christmas soon.

The peace-loving Reich has been forced to violate the neutrality of the low countries to forestall planned French/British aggression. German news reels show evidence that local populations support Germany in her war against British and French imperialism.

Japan, Winter '40: More bombings done in China, but this time the bombers get hit instead of hitting much.

WA - Winter 1940, a detailed loss information is showed here.
Our brave pilots successfully damaged a German heavy Bomber with limited loss (after one German fighter shot down by AAs).
French decided not to waste ammos in counter-attack and saved supplies were sent to Chinese partner.

Hitler is furious -- how can two AA units can brave the might of the Wehrmacht to damage a fighter squadron outside Brussels? He suggests that certain officers resign in disgrace. (Kudos to Ning for demonstrating this little gem in AAR; a canny move - the AA get to fire first, before arty or air). Germany has the last laugh, though. France falls with one damaged armour.

Il Duce, emboldened by the obvious operational superiority of German military doctrine, decides that Italy cannot stand for the British blocade of her Mediterranean colonies. Hitler immediately transfers aerial units to Naples to assist in clearing the way. A lone German wolfpack enters the med in search of easier pickings (England has implemented convoys - i.e., all transports in range are doubled-up). None are found.

Sorry for the delay, but I think MarshallArt is away until Dec 30 anyway.

Japan, Spring '40: Japanese bombers hit some rail and a factory. The other forces continue to twiddle their thumbs.

Spring 1940 - Stalin orders all factories to increase military production while Europe is painted in grey. China sits and waits. Nothing to report except maybe 5 Japanese HBs pointing towards a major air offensive against China. through lend-lease AA guns were delivered to Chunking.
