Order of Battle Free

On the Panzer Corps 2 forum someone suggested that I check out Order of Battle. When I went to it's product page it said the base game was a free download. I logged in "bought it" and tried to download but a message something like the zip file is not safe for download came up and the download was terminated.
I'm also wondering, is this free download similar to demo?
Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm having the same problem. The message is saying this program can be hacked so don't download it or if you do be careful. It's the standard MS virus protection.
Also, that free version is v7.1.4 not the latest v9.2.2 so you can't run the latest DLC's. I did a "Check for Update" but I get error message to contact support.
I wonder why they don't let you download the latest main program version that is free???

Yes, it is a mess.
But on Steam it all just works.
