Fans of the old Panzer General series rejoice for the release of Panzer Corps. Following in the footsteps of the popular SSI masterpiece and sharing with the General series the same level of engagement and strategic depth, Panzer Corps will keep an unmistakable "PG feeling" whilst improving and refining the gameplay and balance. Panzer Corps will feature 26 scenarios on 21 unique maps, covering most major battles of the European Theatre of World War II and including a few hypothetical 'what if' scenarios based on your actions. Now expanded with a full-war mega-campaign and the Afrika Corps and Allied Corps releases!

I have never been much a fan of trailers that show absolutely nothing of how the in-game looks. I guess I am particularly against them by being used to very sh!ty games pumped out by Hasbro and other publishers back in the day, which had a somewhat interesting cinematics, but very poor game once the load-up was complete.

Anyhow, I guess you need something to entice the non-wargamer audience to bring in new blood...so I understand.

It appears as though the King is even smaller than the Tiger I.  But that's probably just an illusion, since we are so used to seeing or expecting the Kings in a much larger profile, at least in BBC BA too!

The one thing that bothers me a tad here, is what I see in a lot of wargames by smaller developers, is that their infantry units (and others) have a tendency to disappear into the terrain. Were it not for both the nationality flags & strength values, I could see a lot more units being forgotten to move each turn :P

According to wikipedia the tiger 1 is 6.29m long (excl barrel) and the Tiger 2 6.4m. That's only 10cm longer. Although I have to admit, looking at some scale comparison pictures I'm starting to doubt that info is correct.

It's possible there may have been more than one variant of the King? I know the Tiger I we are used to seeing, is in fact a little smaller and less armoured than the prototypes which originally rolled off, since they had been equipped with an innovative rotating frontal armour (wish they hadn't removed that in later models).

Anyhow, those screen shots enticed me to play the old PG Blitzkriege campaign again. Flawless victory... which is nice and all, but there are only so many times one can play flawless victories until they start to get a little boring. So... the eyes of the PG community are watching you now....
