Das and I discuss Profiles and Regime Feats, what they are, how they work, why you would care and hopefully show off why I think this system is such a beautifully designed system that we rarely see in 4X/Wargames.

Nice. I would welcome more frequent podcasts and chit chats about SE with other players (+Vic when he can:) )

My definition of SE over the years would be probably something like, Adapt to conquer the world, or loose
Since each new game is different and its not that easy to go with the thing "that worked" in last game.
Usually people suggests Economic council to start, but it should be more about to start with council you need at that moment.
When I see loads of monsters around me I go with Military (also assets are so expensive in the early game, that I stoped even bother with EC, that changed with Oceania though:) )
When I got minors around me I went with Foreign council and quickly tried to unify with them, and so on.
The same it is with the profiles. Although I tend be in favor of others than Autocracy, but that is more because of roleplay/immersion kind of thing (I don't like to play "evil" even though sometimes its hard to get rid of some leaders legally lol)
(but I try to get Mind 80 with some luck, the factions start to generate "breakthrough now!" )

More are on the way! I'd not considered asking Vic actually, once he's a bit less busy I'm gonna try to get him back on the eXplorminate podcast too.

I'm really itching to try an Autocracy playthrough now, I used to go with them when I first played the game, also for thematic reasons, and actually I just wasn't really aware of how much it was helping my game with all those passive boosts it gives you all over the place.
