Shadow of the Tsars balance changes

Post by gamer78 »

I've played as Reds weeks ago and a major victory against Whites in intermediate AI. Didn't play pbem. There is Green army now around Kiev and non related diplomacy and research around US and GB is solved. Only Finland for diplomacy. How is the balance so far, Balkan Wars was a disaster for Ottomans historically they couldn't evacuate civilians or -want to- (state comes first) it is ok they lose. But Reds here have more advantage now or more balanced around Whites victory?

Actually the original version of Shadow of the Tsar's balance was tilted too much in the White factions favor. at least in MP matches.
Now it's more balanced in the new version, at least in tests done.
The Poles are more restrained, the Southern Whites don't have the tanks now, and the starting positions are different. That, and all the other changes listed in the new changelings should help.
I hotseated the new version previously also ( with FoW on), and it seemed better. I personally didn't have time to test in SP though.

Thanks I was specifically waiting for your answer. It seems less Cossack activity in far East and Crimeria.

Yes initially, but Cavalry is a lot cheaper now so you could see lots of rampaging horse soldiers later in the war. 🙂
