Why not a 'Search Mode' for CV, CVL and Naval Bomber?
It's a bit tedious to always have to do it manually ... [:)]

The Naval Mod being tested
HERE has given carriers (Fast Carrier Task Forces) a 10 hex search range automatically and a 7 hex range for CVL (Hunter/Killer Task Forces. CA (Raider Task Forces) has been increased to 3 to simulate the planes they carried.

This mod has a lot of cool ideas.

Just trying to throw things against the wall and to see what sticks with your suggestions and comments. Give credit to Hubert and company for making this program so open and available for modding.

10 hexes? That's a huge swath of water to cover. Is there a % chance to spot a UBoat or opposing ship or if they are in the radius they are spotted?
I realize I know nothing about how it works and certainly haven't played it.

It's the same chance as being within a within a hex in the current version, so I assume it's 100%. Just like the previous 2 hex range, it only applies from the end of the move. So you move your max movement and then anything within 10 hexes is spotted. Also all ships have a defensive evasion percentage ranging from 35% to 70%.
Try it out and see what you think. Hubert's AI is very good at adapting to the changes we've made.
