Unless this is a terrible winter with no aircraft flying, the Western Allies will be in Berlin long, long before the Soviets.

But once again, aircraft can fly and the Germans are being slaughtered.

Steiner!!

In the south the headlong retreat is fully underway and the problem is finding enough units to form a place to stand.... but there aren't any and there isn't one.

Retreat continues everywhere - but south of Moscow a Soviet army took the mickey and so German infantry and tanks taught it a lesson.

In the PI I the IJN lost 2 battle squadrons as a result of the suicide mission to stop the PI invasion. 1 US battle squadron was sunk in return, but the IJN are about to lose a carrier in consequence.

At this stage of the war, mucking about in Southeast Asia with the IJN split in two makes little to no sense. But its fun being on the attack somewhere....

Rangoon falls.

The Japanese can now expect full scale reinforcement by the Soviets in Manchuria.

So once again - and too late - I start to withdrawn, giving up Hsinking

In China the thin yellow line continues to hold for the moment. In the north Mao starts to get aggressive and Itagashi's forces push the impudent young pup back from whence it came.

The Dutch and Danes appear to have joined the war against the Axis. I can't retreat my units from the USSR fast enough to help in the west.

In Burma the Japanese continue forward - retreating toward Japan isn't going to help now....

Big picture....

The Allies are in the Ruhr and there is nothing to stop them or even hurt them.

But still the plucky little Italians hold out!!

24 March - 7 April 1944

The Germans continue to pile back home as quickly as they can, but its not quick enough to stop the British/American juggernaut in the west. Berlin will fall in two turns maximum.

The Allies declare war on Vichy.

Partisans are now appearing in Albania.

Worst of all - Addis Ababa finally succumbs [&:]

The Japanese continue on in the Indian Ocean. As said, there is no point in trying to head back now. But progress has stopped as the British/Indians have too much. The P.I still hasn't fallen which is nice....

The Allies are almost in Berlin. Disappointing that none of my reinforcements could be placed around the capital. Strange.
