Turn 5. Oct 27, 1939. Axis. Attempt on Hitler.

One of many unsuccessful attempts to kill Hitler. Isn't the first and won't be the last. In fact, the one successful attempt to kill Hitler is made by the Fuhrer himself. Unfortunately for the world, in was in May 1945 instead of 1935!

Questions: Is this type of information for flavor only? Does it have any bearing on the game play?

Certainly don't want to upset the US and will definitely respect their demand.

Turn 7. Nov 24, 1939. Axis. U-30.

If fact, while I'm pretty certain that the Gulf of St. Lawrence isn't included in the US defense zone, Gross-Admiral Donitz order U-30 out of the Gulf of St. Lawrence and out into the North Atlantic to hunt for allied convoys there.

Turn 7. Nov 24, 1939. Axis. CA Graf Spee.

The Grap Spee continues along the convoy from RSA to Great Britain in surface raider mode with the objective of setting up a blockade of Capetown next turn.

The Grap Spee is not only far from home but far from any friendly port of call. Such is the life of a crew of a KM surface raider.

Turn 7. Nov 24, 1939. Axis. Germany.

1. U-35 moves to Kiel for rest, refit and upgrade.
2. Mobilization of air and land units from the east (Poland) to the Western Front continued, with the exception of a corps and garrison kept with 6-hexes of Warsaw to oversee execution of the Nazi-Soviet non-aggression pact.
3. 1st Army was reinforced from 7 to 10 steps for 35 MPPs.
4. Luftwaffe fighter group IV was upgraded from 25 MPPs.
5. Luftwaffe TAC bomber group SG2 was reinforced from 7 to 10 steps for 42 MPPs.
6. Luftwaffe Med bomber group KG1, ground attack weapons upgraded for 30 MPPs.
7. Newly formed 10th garrison deployed to Munich.
8. Purchased two garrisons (11th & 12th) for 100 MPPs.
9. Unfortunately all this activity left insufficient funds for additional research (i.e., Advance fighters, which is next on the agenda).

Turn 7. Nov 24, 1939. Axis. Italy. Italian-French Border.

QUESTION: Are the Italian bomber and fighter groups needed here or would it be better to move them to Libya (near Tobruk)?

Turn 7. Nov 24, 1939. Axis. Diplomacy.

Before moving on to Japan,

QUESTION: Is it worth while to invest anything in Diplomacy? Any advice on that subject would greatly be appreciated.

Turn 7. Nov 24, 1939. Axis. Japan. Manchuria. Northern China.

1. 13th gar deployed to Kyoto and 14th gar to Tokyo.
2. Terauchi HQ is moved to Peking.
3. 12th gar is forced march to Jehol to cover against partisans/partisan activities in that region.
4. 1st Kwantang army is moved to Port Arthur and next turn will be transported to the Nanning sector.
5. 10th gar in Hirshoma is transported to Scishorn, Korea.
6. The current intention is for the 10th gar to relieve the 2nd Kwantang army in Yenki in order to free that army for the Nanning sector. However, it's obvious that Japan also needs another HQ in the Nanning Sector.

QUESTION: Is there any issue if I use the 10th gar to relieve Umezu HQ in Harbin, instead, and move Umezu to the Nanning sector?

2. 8th Gar in Shanghai is forced marched to Nachang to for anti-partisan duties in that region.
3. 11th Gar in Nagasaki is transported to Shanghai to relieve the 8th gar and take over their anti-partisan duties there.

Nanning Sector.
1. XIX corps in Canton is reinforced from 5 to 8 steps for 22 MPPs.
