Naval Invasions

Fury Games has now signed with Matrix Games, and we are working together on the next Strategic Command. Will use the Slitherine PBEM++ server for asynchronous multi-player.

The port is red colored, meaning it is still cintrolled by the UK. GE ports are blue (see French ports).

You will need the other land hexes next to the port.

It's probably going to take another turn until the Bristol port number square turns blue. But in the meantime your hapless transport is likely get trashed unless it has the action points to move back.

That is really easy to overlook for someone new to the system.

You will get used to looking for the red squares pretty soon.

Press Windows key-Shift-S and the screen will darken a bit. Drag over the area to copy (there are other settings, too) and then paste the image into whatever editor you prefer.

Also try <cntrl> & the print screen button. Then paste into a program like paint or some such.

What's the reason for the Bristol port not becoming Axis immediately upon capture - is it because there's an Allied-controlled town (Cardiff) adjacent to it? I'm quite an experienced SC player, but I'm not 100% sure of the answer.

You need all the adjacent hexes, not just the urban ones.

Ah, okay, thanks! So if the Allies can hold onto to any of the adjacent hexes, the Axis can't use the port?

Note this has been discussed to death here, devs are aware of the issue, but I am not sure if any changes are in the offing. Most recent thread I could find:
