Help reading combat prediction for a begginner.

Fury Games has now signed with Matrix Games, and we are working together on the next Strategic Command. Will use the Slitherine PBEM++ server for asynchronous multi-player.

Help reading combat prediction for a begginner.

Post by Jorgito78 »

Hi. Noob here. Only recently I got into the SC series and started with WiE. Still learning some basic concepts of the game. I have a question about combat predicitions (see screenshots). So, looking at the stats of both my units, wouldn't it be expected that my U-30 sub would perform better in battle that my U-32? I assume this because all the relevant stats of the U30 are higher than the U32.
What am I missing here? :?:

Thanks in advance.

Sometimes it's the things you don't see. Does the U-32 have an experience advantage over the U-30? An upgrade advantage? Sometimes that is enough.

No, I don't think so. I see that the U30 has more experienced because of the half cross and the U32 has none. Or does it not mean experience?

Check the morale and readiness of both subs. It may be that one is better (due to having more supply).

That is exactly my point, the U30 has better overall stats (higher Strength, higher Morale and higher Readiness) so it would be expected to perform better, or I am missing something. The only thing that U30 has lower is supply.
Does supply have direct influence on combat? Or does it have only influence in combat stats which, in turn, have direct influence on combat?

U-30 has only 17 Action Points out of 20, which suggests it has moved already?

If so this would explain the difference, as a sub that moves before attacking attacks with reduced effectiveness.

So, similar to the readiness bonus on land units. Thank you.

Technically subs get a bonus to attack if they haven't moved. If they move they lose the bonus.
