Just back from holiday.
Tried to continue my game, was instructed to upgrade on server to
version 1.03.01, from 1.01.04.
Can now locate game on server, but cannot play.
Server message "File read problem". Error message appears. (Error 02).
Anybody have advice on how to proceed...
We been battling this game for about a month,
it would a shame to not be able carry on!

There looks to be an issue with the older games, due to their initial design and lack of forward compatibility, that the only way to fully repair the server for all players will be to remove these older games.

This is not a final decision just yet as we attempt to sort it out, but it is the likely decision and I just wanted to give everyone a heads up on this that all games started in v1.01.04 or earlier are likely to be removed shortly in order to clean up the Beta server.

Note, this will not be an issue going forward as the game is updated as we've worked towards ensuring backwards compatibility... at least for the foreseeable future.

Thanks Josh, looks like I had an incorrect character in there, all fixed now. Glad you are enjoying the latest game too

Just a quick update in that we purged most if not all of the older games from the PBEM++ Beta server with the exception of those that were still active in the last few weeks.

Let me know if you can access the PBEM++ server now and if not then I'll be forced to purge the remaining older games as well.

My pbem game started with v1.01.04 is available but gives an error 2 after being downloaded, also I can't resign it due to an error.
Feel free to purge it, unless you are able to fix it so it works [;)]
